depends on availability that year. econ is obvs one of the more popular courses but as management is super similar to econ you have a higher chance than most. even if u cant switch, managment students at lse tend to have great career prospects and its an easier course than econ so is still worth ur time

hey im currency doing LSE management bsc atm. honestly i would really think about switching coz genuinely you can get the same career results as econ at LSE but by doing half the work (j you have to grind internships a tiny bit more). Also you'll soon realise but if finance is your goal assuming it is, then econ is very academic and modules like accounting and finance are actually lots more helpful and relevant. On a technical one the biggest thing about switching is that you need TMUA for econ but thats on the university. I also got straight nines and that is the main standard so I think you will obvs be very strong but most people will be a similar level

wait wait I dont get it. I cant really do the tmua rn as test dates are no longer available but are you saying its possible to switch? also how would it be half the work? isn't Econ like harder? and are you saying companies prefer management hence why I would need to grind internships? also do you by any chance know how easy it would be to switch?

No one can really tell you how likely it is. It depends on how many offers they've made, as well as your specific academic profile. Is TMUA mandatory for the course or just an option? If it is mandatory it will more than likely be a no.

Ultimately you just need to ask them, it will be a quick yes/no and won't affect your current offer if it is not possible.

yo, its going to be hard to switch icl especially because econ is their flagship course and they don't really want people scamming themselves in by applying Mgmt then switching. The best chance you have of switching is to accounting and finance (very easy because exact same grade requirements + basically same first year modules) or if you're ambitious finance (but again thats v v competitive and a lot more mathematical). Econ will be wayy harder work and content wise. Management is still a tough degree but economics has way more lectures and is a lot more mathsy. Obvs employees will probs like the sound of LSE econ the most but if you're at lse studying something relevant ish its never that deep just you may have to work slightly harder with clubs and societies etc to demonstrate a proper interest in finance. My pov is if you tilt more towards consulting go for management if u prefer finance and want something light go A&F. If u want something harder go straight finance. To econ wld say very unlikely to A&F probs a good chance

As far as I know there have been no management offers yet for this cycle. There have been rejections already since mid December though.

yes, i am applying for management and agree. Whocaresyyyy is just lying clearly about having those grades and getting an offer, despite applying 3 days ago and now wanting to switch to econ. A bit weird.

Rare as rocking horse ****, and you need the TMUA at a decent score, too - this is a pre-req, it's not optional.
