What jobs are best post uni if I want do complete a physics degree??

I'm currently in year 12, my a levels are maths, physics, and computer science. I love physics and am looking to doing a physics degree at uni, originally I was going to apply for a mechanical engineering degree but I didn't think that it would be the right career for me. With a mechanical engineering degree the career choices (to me at least) seem more obvious, but I'm not sure what jobs would be best for a physics degree. Sound engineering looks really interesting but it doesn't apparently pay well at all. Any ideas?? thanks

It might also be worth looking at degrees called 'Natural Sciences' where you can study a combination of STEM subjects, and importantly, the connections between them. Employers like the cross-disciplinary focus, and ability to speak several different science 'languages'. Each Uni will offer different subject combos and a different degree structure, but here are a few examples :
Natural Sciences - Lancaster University
