Hi,
Great to hear you have applied to Manchester Met. If you have applied and received an offer from us, you will be invited to join our Unibuddy Community from about April time. This is a great way of meeting people on your course, in your accommodation and those with similar interests to you, before you enrol on your degree. You can make friends before you even arrive on campus!
In the meantime, you can chat with our student ambassadors on our Chat Platform and whilst there may be noone on your specific course, they will be able to tell you about what it's like studying at Manchester Met, and being a student in the city of Manchester. There is also digital content that they have created on there that gives you an insight.
If you have any questions, you can contact our Course Enquiries team on their Live Chat here (Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm) or on their Helpline on +44 (0)161 247 6969 (Monday to Friday, 10am-3pm).

Heyy!
First of all, congratulations on starting uni in 2026! You’ve made some really strong university choices so I hope you’re excited of what’s to come~
If you’ve applied to Lancaster for Social Care, you should either already have or soon receive an invite to an offer holder day once decisions are out. I’d really recommend going if you can. It’s a great chance to visit the campus properly, see accommodation and get a feel for the college system, attend subject-specific talks as well as meet other offer-holders who might end up on your course! It honestly helps so much with picturing yourself there and deciding if it feels like the right fit.
I’d also recommend signing up to Lancaster’s Unibuddy platform. It lets you chat directly with current students who are studying Social Work, so you can ask honest questions about workload, teaching style and student life etc.
If you have any questions about the university or campus life more generally, feel free to ask 😊

Hi there,
That's great to hear you've applied for Counselling and Psychotherapy and Social Care at Edge Hill. Similar to the other universities, if you receive an offer you should soon hear details about booking an offer holder day. This is a great chance to go to subject taster sessions and meet your potential lecturers. You can also look around all the accommodation and go for a campus tour with a current student.
In the meantime, you can talk to some of our current students here on our Chat with our students platform including Scarlett who is currently a Health and Social Care student. This is a great way to ask any questions you might have about the course or student life in general.
