Probably unlikely if you’re not contextual as the min requirements are A*AA on a very competitive Durham course whereas you meet the minimum grade requirements for Oxford. Always worth a shot though.

I disagree actually. I'm at Durham and they are letting in applicants for A*AA courses with ABB and making offers to people with predicted grades of AAA-ABB as well. I think it's worth a shot. Not to bad mouth my own uni, but they are desperate for money (they said so themselves last year) so you might as well throw your hat in the ring.

if you're at durham, can i ask if you got any of the colleges you asked to be allocated to??

I got allocated into my third choice, but I know many people who got allocated into their last choice hahah. Rarely you get any of your top 3 so I was lucky
you can ask the university to take English as a joint course with another course i.e you would do English modules and maybe history modules etc. or you can try and tell them there were exceptional circumstances that prevented you from getting that grade. also as someone who goes to durham uni it is worth taking a gap year and maybe reapplying instead, that way you could try retaking the exam or getting more money before coming here.
