Hi everyone! What's the status of your application for CS PhD at Cambridge University? Mine still shows submitted.

showing under review by department since November 17 , 2025 - its January 14 ( 2026 ) now no change in status neither any mail - guess that means silent rejection ? - PHD computer science - also anyone received interview invite for the same ?

I don’t think it’s a silent rejection yet. Jan 14 was the deadline for reviewers, so now the department is probably ranking and shortlisting applicants. There’s usually a quiet period at this stage before interview invites or decisions go out.

What colleges did you all pick? I chose Peterhouse as my first. Seems like a quite college plus I heard they provide funding for conferences.

i mailed the department office - they said they are currently reviewing all applications now and hopefully will circulate offers in Feb - not sure what they meant by offers - whether its interview offers they meant 🙂

It’d be crazy if there were no interviews at all lol. I’m guessing they mean late February, with interviews happening in early Feb.

I also emailed the department and they said that the supervisors are processing all applications received by Dec 2, and confirmation of nominations will be given within 2 weeks. Any offers will be given in February.
