3 year course/ one sitting rule

Hi
Im a student in year 12 currently studying bio chem and maths. My goal is to get into dentistry in the uk. However i am finding maths difficult and believe it will be the subject that prevents me from achieving the highest possible grades for me. I tried to get a subject change, however the school are not allowing me as they believe its too late into the academic year to catch up. What they proposed was a 3 year plan, where i drop maths and continue with bio and chem, then next year i will complete my bio and chem alevels and pick up a new subject, then this means i have to do another year where i complete the subject that i have just picked up. One thing i am worrying about is the one sitting rule, where on unis it states that students must achieve AAA in one sitting, does that mean no resits, or does it mean that i need to complete 3 alevels toghether, please let me know if you do know the answer to this.

I did this exact thing! What i would say is to check the requirements for dentistry programs and see if you'd be accepted. Also strongly consider whether dentistry is right for you, unis might look down on your applications because you couldnt do maths and needed longer to complete your studies- you haven't mentioned any notable extenuating circumstances so it could come across as unmotivated or that you can't handle work or studying hard to get good grades.
