ucas application

hi there guys, im applying to start uni again this year sep 2026 cause i failed my first year in 2025. as i have to mention this in the education section of the ucas application, do i have to say i did accounting & finance for the year and got a fail or is it enough to just say i attended the university?

You do have to give the grade you achieved at your first Uni. And be aware that most Unis will want to see your full grade transcript and will want a reference from that Uni.

You have to be completely honest on UCAS as they will check records etc. you should list the institution and the course you studied (accounting & finance) and state the outcome for your first year. However, this wouldn't automatically block you from offers! Good luck!

thanks for that, i did ring up UCAS earlier and they said there's no need for me to mention it all cause i did fail so its upto me but im still debating whether to put it in the education section or not

I still suggest being completely up-front and honest, rather than hiding anything you did not achieve!
