Hi! if you took your LNAT on or before 26th January you would get your results mid-feb, if you took it after 26th jan then you would get your results mid-august. Bristol and Durham both require you to take the LNAT from September to 14th jan. So you would have to wait till feb- march for an offer. I have also applied to both unis, hope this helps!

Got an offer from Bristol today after applying just before Christmas, and I am still waiting on Durham. I applied for both last year but I didn't get offers from either so I am retaking two a levels and reapplying (just to add some context!). I took my LNAT in early Jan too.

Do Durham accept A level resits for Law? What about Magic Circle law firms?

Daughter sat Lnat on 1/9/25, submitted application in early Oct, got put on hold early nov and got offer 12/1/26. Home student, non contextual. I think it’s totally variable. Good luck all.

Yes, I have researched and it does not say there is any reason why they would not. Also, there was a few personal reasons that contributed to me not achieving the grades that I originally wanted to they will help contextualise my previous results. Commercial law is not something that I am that particularly interested in at the moment anyway, but again my results last year are contextualised, and if I get what I want in the summer then it will prove that I am good enough. Moreover, A Level grades are usually used as just an entry requirement in your early applications, so if I just meet the requirements then that should be okay to move to the next stage regardless as it seems they are more interested in your university achievements and extra/super curriculars.

Omg well done!! I literally did my LNAT and UCAS the exact same days as you and I still haven’t heard anything yet, not sure whether that’s a good thing or bad thing but they haven’t put me on hold. Not keeping my hopes up x

Thank you!!!! Did you get an email from bristol stating that they have received your LNAT & application and are now assessing it? I got that email 10 days ago and then my offer after. However, I did not receive a email stating I was on hold either so maybe it is a good sign?

No I never got emails saying they’ve got my LNAT score, only emails ages ago saying they’ve got my application and waiting for my LNAT score - but not any saying they’ve got it since I’ve done the LNAT

Universities have until mid-May to make all their decisions, and some offers will be made this late.
Remember that when you get an offer has no significance - the Uni still wants you.

right but always still make sure to ticked bristol as one of the unis to send your LNAT to and make sure your UCAS id is also correct through your pearson account.
