Pathway to Bath Questions
Recently got accepted into the pathway to bath programme and wanted to see if anyone else is taking part in it, but also if anyone who has done it before has any tips or information that would be useful for any new people going into the programme.

Hi there 😊,
Congrats on getting a place on our Pathway to Bath programme. I personally did not do it when I was in Year 12 but I am currently a mentor for the pharmacy and pharmacology programme. As a mentor last year as well, I have found it to be a great supportive space that gives you a little taster in what university is like in terms of lectures, tutorials and managing assignments.
If you're unsure whether university is for you, then this is a great programme to get a little taster of your chosen course. It also great to ask current students on how they are finding university and tips and tricks into completing the assignments.
A few tips to mention:

Stay organised - we understand that you'll will have other commitments too so if you are struggling or can't complete an assignment within the deadline then speak to your mentor.

Try to attend every single lecture and don't be afraid to ask questions!

Don't worry if you struggle initially with lectures, tutorials and assignments - it can be a little overwhelming at first.
•
Have fun - hopefully you'll enjoy the subject you've chosen or maybe figure out this isn't what you want to do.

Go to all the sessions and make sure you catch up on the recording if you have to miss one.
The assignments have a clear mark scheme so as long as you go through it and make sure you hit the right points you'll be fine
I also used apply with bath personal statement sessions and got my offers for 2026 already 🙂

I got accepted to Psycology but I don't really think I want to do it. I don't know if I can change it into a different one.
