Prelim results were weird

Ok so we got our prelim results back for applications of maths and every single person in the class got no award. Deadass every single person. One person originally got no award but then one question was remarked and BARELY managed a D. I think there was one or two people who might have passed but apart from that everyone was no award. Is this weird to anyone?

Now I am fully aware that I got no award because I simply did not put in enough effort, but really? Every single person in the entire class except for maybe 2? I just think thats really weird 🤷*♀️

A similar thing happened at my school last year for Nat 5. In the applications of maths class only around 5 people passed (out of around 30 people) and in the maths classes the average mark was 51%, with just over half of us failing or getting a D.

In the final exam, results were generally better for both classes. I think over half of the applications of maths class passed, and about 60-65% of those taking maths passed.

Dang, at least the results were better at the end. The teacher has hope for most of us but for everyone under 30% she's strongly advising to do the financial services course instead

I think that would depend on the person. I got around 30% in my maths prelim and achieved an A1 in the final exam.
