Doesn’t make solid plans

M18 F19 I’ve been talking to a guy in my uni for about few weeks and we’ve met up a few times since we’ve been back at uni after christmas. he says he rlly likes me and he said he couldn’t wait to meet me. he told me he’s quiet and shy and said he’s nervous around me, as we have met a few times already. I’d say he views me as more confident and I am. however , I am also slightly akward around him as I’m attracted to him. even though we’ve not long come back to uni and not been talking long, his plans to meet are always last minute and he doesn’t make a solid plan. this is a big turn off , but I’m thinking since he’s shy , maybe he’s scared of rejection , any advice?

It’s possible his last minute planning comes from nerves or fear of rejection, but that doesn’t mean you have to ignore how it puts you off. Shy people can still make effort, especially when they like someone. I’d gently tell him you enjoy seeing him but prefer plans in advance and then watch what he does. If he steps up, it was probably nerves, and if nothing changes, it’s more about effort than shyness.
