What is it like studying at the University of Reading?

I just got an offer and would like to know more about accommodation, the school and the course: Ancient History and Archaeology with Professional Placement from any previous or current students.
Please and thank you!

Hi, Congrats on your offer!

Accommodation: University halls at the University of Reading are designed to support students both academically and socially, particularly in their first year. Most halls are located on or very close to Whiteknights Campus, allowing students to live within easy walking distance of lectures, the library, and the Students’ Union for club nights and other events. Accommodation can be self-catered, offering students independence, with a choice of standard rooms with shared bathroom facilities or en-suite rooms with private bathrooms. All rooms are fully furnished and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, and basic contents insurance, making it easier for students to manage their finances. The University also offers optional meal plans (some accommodation can have a meal plan included for catered accommodation) which are ideal for students who want the convenience of regular meals on campus to save time and effort. In addition, the Homes at Halls programme runs a variety of social events and activities throughout the year to help students settle in and build a sense of community. All first-year students are guaranteed accommodation if they firm the University of Reading, providing reassurance during the application process. Full details of accommodation options and meal plans can be found via the link below. Last year, for my foundation year I stayed in Stenton townhouses, our more premium and house life accommodation, it was a really good accommodation and close to the centre of campus. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply to this thread, we have ambassadors online everyday.
