Oxford Physics

Hi there, I am currently in year 12 right now and I want to apply for a physics course at Oxford yet I'm worried my GCSEs may get in the way. For my GCSEs I got:
9 - maths, further maths, physics, biology, computer science, statistics
8 - history, chemistry
7 - english language, english literature and spanish
99999988777
Would you say my GCSEs are good enough for physics at Oxford?
The A levels I'm doing right now is maths, further maths, physics and computer science.

Yes you are all good on gcse front.Start looking at past PAT papers as that is a big factor in getting to interview

Your GCSEs are well above average, so don't worry.

One thing I must say is that you might consider dropping Computer Science, perhaps? Because you would be more likely to achieve A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths and Physics without the burden of the coursework tasks in A-Level Computer Science.

I've seen 100 or so profiles on TSR since my early teens in 2001 when TSR was founded and Maths, Further Maths and Physics has been the most 'ideal' combination of subjects for Physics, Maths, Engineering and even Computer Science as well.

Your GCSEs are fine. I will say though that if you have an okay-ish PAT score it could be marginal, especially if you are from a competitive school/region since cGCSE will not be calibrated in your favour. See what I'm talking about here.

And, if you are handling your A-Levels fine, no need to drop CS.
