Hi there! 😄
Most universities in London usually have a wide range of student societies that you can join outside of your course. These are normally run through the Students’ Union and are a great way to meet people and get involved in different interests.
Typical societies you might find at many universities include things like:

• cultural and international societies
• sports clubs
• music and performing arts groups
• gaming and hobby societies
• academic or subject-based societies
• volunteering and charity groups
• LGBTQ+ and identity-based societies

Universities often add new societies each year depending on what students want, and sometimes students can even start their own society if there’s enough interest.
The best place to check what’s available is usually the Students’ Union website or social media, especially around the start of the academic year when societies are recruiting new members.
