cyber security at warwick received 510 applicants in 2025 cycle, offered 230, 116 firm accepts and 50 enrolled and the most common predicted grades for an offer holder was A*AA

in 2024, there were 422 applications, 213 offers, 85 firm accepts and 38 who enrolled with the most common predicted grades being AAB for offer holders

2023 was fairly similar to 2025 but had an offer rate of 29% for a-level applicants

the offer rate is around 45% for 2025 and 50% for 2024, though other non a-level applicants bring this down to round 37% overall (as IB and AP receive less offers)

i submitted a freedom of information request on their website

https://warwick.ac.uk/services/legalandcomplianceservices/freedomofinformation/

the three most recent admission cycles are provided including 2024-2025 if possible.
- Number of first year applicants
- Number of offers given
- Number of firm acceptances
- Number of enrolled students
If any figure is lower than 5, please indicate that the value is <5.
- GCE A-Level (AS Levels + A2 Levels if applicable)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- Any other qualification the University accepts
If the University holds information in the form that does not identify individuals, I kindly
request any average or aggregated achieved and predicted grades such as:
- Most common and/or average A-Level results. (Please provide most common in grades
and not UCAS tariff points)
- Most common and/or average IB scores
- Most common and/or average AP results
- Any other qualification information that exists in a non-identifiable format
Please provide this information only if it already exists in an aggregated form and does
not require new analysis.
I understand that detailed grade distributions may be classified as personal data and
therefore, please only provide aggregated statistics where they exist in a disclosable
form.
Please also provide the most common combination of A-Level subjects held by enrolled
students on the BSc Cyber Security course for each requested admission cycle.
Please provide this information only if it already exists in an aggregated form and does
not require new analysis.
If the University does not hold any requested data in the exact format, please provide any
existing data that meets the intent of the request.

i assume most offers will either be AAA or AAB as they are the standard & contextual offer levels

for supercurriculars i put in that ive built a website with security features, studies 2 courses on cybersecurity/comp sci and hacked/modded a 3DS, troubleshooting computers and participating in a robotics camp

Cybersecurity at Warwick is quite competitive and fairly popular, especially among students interested in technical and applied areas. Warwick has a strong background in computing, so the field is generally well regarded.

From a student point of view, the course can be challenging but well supported. If you’re proactive and willing to put in the work, you can get a lot out of it.

Before starting, it helps to have some basic coding and computing knowledge, but you don’t need to be an expert. Overall, if you’re aiming for a technical field with good future demand, Warwick is a solid choice.

Nice! So far I’ve done some work experience, a Cyber EPQ, building a cybersecurity game and a bunch of other TryHackMe and Immersive courses. I also got invited to some conferences and met some cool cyber people. What subjects are we all doing?

Hi, @Anonymous#2 could you please tell me more about The CyberEPQ?

Sorry probs a bit misleading there. I did an EPQ on a cybersecurity topic to do with risks to CNI not the cyber EPQ. It wasn’t really available for me at the time but it does seem like a great opportunity!
