JOINING UEM in SEPT 2026

I have just accepted a place to study 5 year Dentistry in English at UEM starting in Sept 2026. Now I have begun to worry about accomodation. Would be great to hear from others who may be in the same position as me or are already at UEM nad have gone through the process.

I have offers from both CEU & UEM and today is the last day to decide and reserve place UEM. I’m confused what to choose!

Hi, I am from the UK and got an offer from UEM as well. I’m unsure what to do and today is the last day to pay for the reservation fee of €3400. I was sure in my decision to do the dentistry degree in English but after reading the google reviews I am very unsure. I have the opportunity to do dentistry in Spain but I am still waiting to hear back from 2 universities in the UK as well.

I understand the dilema. I have A stars in all my GCSE and predicted to have A stars in Maths and A in Chemisry and Biology. Out of the 4 UK Dental UNI I have applied to, I have already received 2 rejections. I really want to study dentisrty so I have paid teh registratuin fee because, if you dont pay in the specified time, the offer gets cancelled and you cant apply till next year. I am not sure what feedback you had for UEM. I spoke to someone who is currently at studying Dentistry at UEM and he is quite happy with it. I also went to UEM for a visit in October before applyingn to to UEM. Can I ask you what was your Score after the HOMOLOGATION when you applied to UEM.

Hi, at UEM they have a student housing about 1 minute walk away from the university called xior housing. It’s got quite nice facilities and includes food and other bills. I’m heavily considering this option even though it may be a bit more expensive than I expected since as being in the first year it would make life much easier and you would spend less time and money on traveling to uni and cooking, etc. Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for posting back. I actually viisted UEM in October 2026 and spent 3 days on the Campus as well as the town near the campus where a lot of students live. The private Halls on the CAMPUS itself I didnt like because it is "CATERED" only and not to mention unreasonably expensive. There is another one away from camus but very close to campus which provides both Self Catering and Catered accomodation but also is pricy. Because I want Self Catering this is my fall back in the first year. But I wouldnt mind sharing a flat or a house if I can form a group and rent a nice place very close to Campus (5 minutes by Bus) or 20 minutes walking. As a student you can have a pass for 17 euros/month which gives you unimited travel on all public transport including journeys to Madrid City Centre. When I spoke to the estate agents while I was there I felt that rentals are much lower than the 2 private halls.
I am now completing the enrollment paperwork since you only get 10 days from the date reservation fee is paid to complete this process. The beauracracy is a little frustrating but doable.

Hi, I was looking at also renting a place but I was a bit unsure as it might feel like too much especially moving to a new country and having to deal with living alone such as cooking, cleaning, food shopping, travel etc as well as studying and getting to uni. However I am still deciding this option. If I do end up staying in the student halls that are 1 min walk from the uni then for 2nd year once I get to know the students im with then decide from there to rent out a place together?

Makes sense. I will probably end of dong the same in first year. But I will choose the private halls which has catered and self catering rooms both and is only few minutes away from the campus. I am already completed my enrollment at UEM. Now I am getting the paperwork togather to apply for the Student Visa in March 2026.

Just wondering how are you getting on with the on going paperwork with UEM. Have you applied for the accomodation yet ?
