Durham offer strictness

I got an offer for International Relations (AAA, no contextual circumstances) and I'm wondering if I get AAB or ABB for example whether I would still have a chance. Has anyone had experience with this? Would appreciate any help!

It really depends on how competitive your course is. Normally, if you are very close to your offer grades (AAB) you can still get accepted. Last year quite a few students were accepted even though they missed their grades by a bit. ABB is probably a bit too lenient but you never know. Safest bet though is to aim for AAA or higher bc it’s still very possible that if you miss the grades even by a bit you won’t be accepted.

Hello!

Quite a few students miss their grade by a bit and still get in but it isn't guaranteed and depends on how strict or competitive your course is. I'd definitely not bet on it but not all hope is lost if it happens!
