Nurse to medical affairs
I am a children's nurse graduated in 2025 with a 2:1 from Kings college London. I want to switch careers and pivot into the pharma industry, hence I am interested in medical/regulatory affairs. I am looking for internships, but a lot of them require medical/science/pharmacy degrees. I'm aware that there are internships that accept other healthcare professional backgrounds, but I find it difficult to find them. Last year I did 4 month internship for medical writing and published a few articles on their website, and I have a research externship as well.
If anyone is in regulatory affairs or is a nurse who is pivoting or has made that successful transition to the career, do you have any advice on where I should look for internships/opportunities/networking events to increase my chances of getting in? I really would appreciate it.
