A levels for mech eng

Hi ,
For a-levels i have chosen to do maths , physics and chemistry/bio and further maths . I don’t do GCSE further maths and my prediction for gcse are 8’s . If i want to study further maths it has to be a 4th alevel which i also dont want to do ! I really like science so i want to do physics and chemistry and bio but also maths , but i really like biology and physics over chemistry but ive herd chemistry is better for engineering. I want to do mechanical engineering but alot of the courses require further maths at a top university. I want to get into a russel group so its very hard to pick the right alevels . What other engineering courses at top universities don’t require further maths but pay well and are more office based ? Also what is general engineering because I’ve seen many universities offer it and i thought it would be a good option as it doesn’t require further maths and i can even specialize after and go into either finance or like software engineering too ( even though i dont do comp sci gcse and alevels ) What do you recommend i should do ?

Double check the courses on unis websites to see what subjects they specify.
But out of those subjects- the one that i would get rid of is biology.

Yeah im thinking of switching to just do maths chem and physics - sooo mnay uni says that further maths is preferable and i just really dont want that to be a disadvantage for me !!

You could do maths, chemistry and physics. Then further maths as a 4th (to see how you go).
If it gets too much then you can drop further maths. At least you will be able to say you tried it.

Okay thank you but am i still able to get into a RG with just those 3 for mechanical engineering? Which ones do you know definitely wont need further maths , or which degrees in engineering dont require it ?
