should I take ielts or toefl and when? I'm starting year 13 in a month. And how do I prepare?

I remember Cambridge saying they will not accept the revised version of the TOEFL this year. To completely avoid confusion on your end, just take the IELTS.
If you are a native speaker, minimal preparation is needed. Take it at your convenience as long as it's before the October 15 deadline. Results come out very quick, within a few days.
