I have the same clashing problem with Kings and Magdalene.. Can't miss my one opportunity to go to our ball.. but I liked the affair last year.. and think this year's will be really good. Hmph.

Go to Kings and come to Peterhouse :wink:

I'm going to Jesus. Half my group got tickets and half were waitlisted, but thankfully I'm in the former half :biggrin:

Tempted to go somewhere else as well since it's my last year :biggrin:

(although I'm coming back for Caius ball next year!)

Black tie unless it's Peterhouse or Magdelane (am not sure about Johns & Trinity) so no the dress doesn't need to be full length.

Well seeing as Black Tie isn't full length anyway, the question's redundant :p:

They are Black Tie, but this means anything covering your knees and longer.

Originally I wasn't too thrilled with Peterhouse's poster and website, but now that I've seen several other May Ball flyers and posters I actually quite like ours. About three I looked at could be identical. They all seem to go for this sophisticated sleek image, whereas ours feels a bit alternative while still conjuring up lots of traditional symbolism :smile:

So yay! (Granted I've only seen about 5 other advertisements)

I'm gutted I didn't do Christs last year - I missed Boy Kill Boy and Danger.

Not to rub it in but I still can't get over how good Danger was. Absolutely blew the Justice gig I've been to out of the water. I hope there's a decent electro act at King's Affair this year...
