Hey so this is my gyg, I'm currently in s5 and an aspiring medic.
For nat 5 I did
Maths-A1(95%)
English-A1(97%)
Mods-A1(dont remeber exact percentage)
Chem-A1(97%)
Bio-A2(80%)(most disappointed in)
Art-A2
Physics-A2
French-A1
Application of maths(did in s3)-A1(95%)
For Higher I'm doing maths,bio,chemistry,mods and English
Higher is way way harder than national 5 like honestly the jump is insane, here my current class gets I've done
bio mid unit 1 test-74%
maths profile 1 test-60%
chem rate of reaction topic test-80%
chem unit 1 test-77%
bio unit 1 test-86%
maths profile 2 test-56%(ET)
bio topic test-92%
chem unit 2 test-87%
I've recently just finished my prelims and will update on results, I've honestly really mixed about it and im very scared to get them back.
Currently for med my mum payed to platinum pathway for medic mentor verse, ive done work experience at gp for like 2 weeks altogether, ive done this shadow work experience thing at glasgow uni for botany.
Extra- about to finish grade 3 piano, silver dofe, bronze dofe and got silver in smc
So yeah any advice would be appreciated

your exam result are great and if you want to be medic research the struggle because if youre a creative person then you should be lawyer instead of medicine. Medicine involve sacrificing your social lofe and is very depressing

Hey i do all 3 sqa higher sciences (chemistry, human biology, physic) and math, computing. i am really looking for 4 study buddies at each subject. Please can anyone help me and reach out to me. I need 4 study buddy for each subject and my plan is to use group learning strategy on google classroom. My plan is we can use this strategy to improve learning. I am begging for someone to reach me out. This apply to all my subject. A person that does some of the same subject i do can also be my group study buddy for multiple subject.

Hi! I'm Becca, I left school after S5 and I'm now studying Scots law at uni! I had a gyg for my Highers last year and found that it helped me loads, so I made another one for this year. I predominantly took humanities subjects for my Highers so if you have any questions about mods or english, I'm happy to help!

You’ve gotten quite good results for the jump from S4 to S5! Trust me, I’ve seen people overestimate their abilities or think that highers are a cake walk then they completely flop every test that comes up, even if they get As in national 5. Also, don’t be scared about prelim results, remember, they are JUST PRELIMS, as long as you put enough effort into the work, you’ll do fine!!!

Literally all I've been doing since prelims are over is nothing, like im so unmotivated to do work. I have to do biology prep but honestly dont know when as I dont have the time, wanted to be lowkey productive this weekend but have two funcs so dont think thats happening. Genuinely how do people have motivation to keep ons studying after prelims.

To be honest, my motivation is just the fact that I don’t want to end up as a disappointment in my parent’s eyes. Basically, I just view this as a “difficult step” I have to take to enter university where the environment will definitely be a lot more relaxed. It’s not fun to study but I genuinely just don’t want to make future me upset
