y12 Stuck, need advice

Doing Music, history and physics with core maths a levels (random, but didn’t know wha to wanted to do so just chose my interests) and now I know I want to do history at uni, but physics is just taking up too much time and I don’t want to study it

If you know what Uni you want to go to you can priorities based on the acceptance grades there but I wouldn't recommend dropping a subject since you ideally should have 3. You could potentially ask your school if you could do an EPQ if youre worried about your UCAS grade but not all unis count it towards UCAS points. Do some research and figure out what uni and courses youre aiming for and base your next decisions on that.

You usually cannot just drop an entire A level - because this takes you below a 'full-time study load' - and remember that you will need 3 full A levels to apply to any sensible Uni. Go and talk to your Head of Sixth asap to discuss a way forward.

Have you thought about dropping core maths? It’s not relevant at all for history so you could drop the class or take it but opt out of the exam if you think the skills in core maths will be beneficial to you personally. You cant really drop an a level at this stage or swap subjects- it would just be too much work to catch-up on. The most extreme solution would be repeating year 12 with different subjects (but keep history ofc and maybe music) but thats not advisable unless you get to end of years and fail them horribly or if you have any reason to need to delay your studies.
