Hi,
I'm Ant, and I'm a first-year student studying at LJMU, pursuing my BSc in Cyber Security. I am the ambassador/school rep for the School of Computer Science and Mathematics on Student Room, LJMU Campus Connect (our own app for offer holders!) and Unibuddy. I am here to help resolve questions and talk to people thinking/following the university route! I was once nervous about the transition from college to university, including deciding which route to take, UCAS stress, Exams and coursework, Finances, and making friends at university. It's very natural to feel uncertain or scared about these things; it's so hard to understand how big a jump it is from college to university that it hits you hard in the face. I live in an accomodation and the sudden life change was very new to me. I adapted quickly and enjoyed being self-sufficient with even basic things like cooking. It's an experience many people should have since it gives you a new level of freedom, control and eases you more into adulthood. I always wanted to go into tech, and I did a couple tour around work facilities/universities to see the kind of things they do, a notable one was BAE Systems, which was super cool and is my mission to land an internship there. Choosing to study at LJMU in an amazing city, which is affordable and full of great people, to do a course I really wanted to do was the best decision I made.
If anyone has any general questions about university life, LJMU, or my course, then just reply to the post, and I'm happy to answer them
