Hi,

It's great to hear you're thinking about studying Fashion Marketing with us at NTU!

It's understandable to feel torn - there are a lot of factors to work into your decision. It's important to note you still have time to weigh the pros and cons for all of your choices. Take a look through the UCAS key dates calendar here to keep up to date with any deadlines.

One thing I'd recommend is trying to visit the universities you're considering if you can. Often an open day can be the best way to get a feel for a city or campus, as well as speak directly with current students and course staff. Our next upcoming date at NTU is Saturday 7 March, and there are plenty of tours you can book throughout the year. These can also serve as a bit of a dry run for travel if you're anxious about distance!

Wherever you go is likely to be your home for at least three years, it's worth exploring wider and ensuring you're comfortable in the location, and it has everything you need. Personally, I came to Nottingham to study (graduated from NTU in 2019) and have stayed here ever since - it's really become home for me, and I couldn't imagine living and working anywhere else! A highlight for me is the wide Music and Arts scene - there's no shortage of venues and theatres with events all year round, no matter your interest.

Take the time to fully assess what you want to get out of a course as well - if you start from what an ideal career after graduation would be, you can then go backwards, looking at which courses have modules you think would best fit that path. Take a look at options for a sandwich year as well as placements and industry experience - these can make a world of difference in graduate applications. Reading some of our student stories, placement opportunities are often central to what alumni value looking back.

I hope this helps, if you have any questions, do feel free to let us know!
