About confirming my place at salford uni

It is my first time applying for uni and I have been offered a place at salford uni through the ucas app and I need to accept the offer but when I click on to view full offer it is telling me I need to complete a dbs certificate, health check and a health and safety assessment.

So my question is will I recieve an email from salford university to complete this in order to be accepted by salford.

You have until May/June to reply to offers so there is no rush. Have you received replies from all of your choices?

Hey @Simrahkhan123 ,

Huge congrats on getting an offer from us! What course have you applied for? You can confirm your firm and insurance choices once you've received all your decisions back, but as Normaw mentions its worth taking your time to think everything through before making a final decision.

The DBS, health checks and assessments will be something we'd email out about later in the year - you don't need to complete these before making your firm or insurance choice decisions! If you're still waiting on your final results we'd usually send more information about these processes after you've got your final results and your application has been fully processed (e.g. being made unconditional). If you've already got your results and aren't waiting on anything to come in over the summer you'll usually be sent out an email about these checks in June/July time. Basically - you don't need to complete these before making your firm or insurance choices, and should make that decision first

There's more info online about what these checks involve too which is worth reading through - you can find that page on our website here!

Let me know if you have any further queries!
All the best

That is quite typical. Before your spot is confirmed, Salford University will often give you an email with instructions on how to finish the DBS, health check, and safety assessment. Simply monitor your email and, if necessary, your spam folder.

Hi @Simrahkhan123

I'm not sure if you will have signed up already, but the University of Salford has an app called Campus connect, for offer holders to join. You should have gotten a link via email. This can be helpful to use, because once you join your course group chat, if any email is sent out about DBS checks, Health checks etc. and you miss it, someone on the chat will probably mention receiving one. A fail safe for information if you will. It also lets you chat with people who might be on your course when you start in September.

Congrats on your offer :five:,
