What should I wear for a sports rehab interview?

Hi! I’ve got an interview for Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Salford. Can anyone share what they wore or what’s expected is it smart, business-casual, or sporty? Any tips from past or sucessful interviewees?

Hey!

Amazing news that you have an interview with us, huge congrats! We'll not be looking for you to do any physical sporting activity as a part of the day, so I would recommend smart clothing. You don't need to go super formal (i.e. full suit!) but I would recommend aiming to look professional and tidy.

You can expect a group interview as a part of the day, which will form the main assessment on a range of topics within Sport Rehab. We're not expecting you to be an expert in this and know everything there is to know, the post important part is showing your communication and listening skills, as group work and good communication is a key element in both the course and future roles as a sports rehab. My best tips are to try and both make sure your voice is heard and give others space to communicate, as dominating the conversation and taking over isn't a great show of team work, and neither is sitting back and letting others take over. Its a hard balance to find, but try your best and I'm sure you'll do well!

Good luck with your interview - if you have any queries let us know and we'll be happy to help!
All the best,
Becky
