Hello,
Well, it was great to receive a number of offers – a very nice place to be. When firming, it is also important to consider things other than what your friends are doing; have a focus on where you can perform well academically and enjoy living, because this often makes the greatest impact on outcomes.
Reading and Surrey are both solid choices. Surrey often has a strong reputation for student experience and employability, but Reading also has strong links to London firms and a very practical approach to law. If Surrey is significantly further away and that would affect your wellbeing or finances, that’s a valid factor to weigh up; proximity and comfort really do matter.
Royal Holloway could also be a viable option, not only because of its tougher entry standards but also because of its location, which could be beneficial for networking events, law fairs, and work placements. Westminster would be considered a more suitable insurance option than a firm choice, based on the grade profile.
A sensible approach might be:
Firm the university you genuinely prefer and believe you can meet the grades for. Ensure with a lower-offer option that you’d still be happy to attend. If possible, attend offer-holder days and trust your instincts about where you feel most comfortable and supported.
There’s no single “best” university; success in law depends far more on how you use your time, seek experience, and perform academically.
All the best with the final decision; you’ve got some good options to choose from.

Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Reading! 🙂
While I don't study law, Reading is a great university with many great aspects! If you do want to find out more about the law course, you may wish to speak to our students which you can do so here. It is a great way to see what other students make of the course and what advice they may have!
From my student experience, I have enjoyed Reading due to the lovely green campus and also great facilities, as well as excellent transport links. It may be worth trying to see open days for these universities to see where you get a feel for. If you can't attend, Reading has virtual tours which can be found here.
If you would like to read more about your course, you can do so here !
