University interview

If my university interview is mid march does that decrease my chance of getting into that university since many people have already given interview and received offers and what if the course is full by my time of interview or there’s less spaces left to be offered so more competitive?

All Universities make many more offers than there are places. They know that only a certain % of offers will become Firm choices, and that of those, there will be applicants who don't get the grades in August, others will defer, withdraw etc. They are therefore not going to 'run out of places' by the time you are interviewed - nor will they have 'run out of offers'.

Hiya lovely

A mid-March interview does not automatically reduce your chances of getting an offer. Universities usually plan interviews in batches and know in advance how many offers they intend to make, so they don’t simply fill all places early on. If you’ve been invited to interview, it means the course still has places available and they consider you a strong enough candidate. Interview timing is often due to logistics rather than applicant quality, and courses are not “full” if they are still interviewing. Many early offers are not firm acceptances, so places often become available later, and some universities wait to compare interview performance across different rounds before making final decisions. Overall, being interviewed later does not put you at a disadvantage, and the most important thing is performing well at the interview.
