Hi everyone,

We’re De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester, and we wanted to share a bit more about our (MOptom) Optometry course for anyone considering a career in eye care and clinical practice. Our Optometry degree is designed to prepare you for a professional career as an optometrist, combining strong scientific foundations with hands-on clinical experience from early on in the course.

You’ll study key areas including: Visual optics and ocular anatomy, Binocular vision and visual perception, Clinical optometry and eye disease, and Pharmacology and patient management.
