How is my profile for any top unis? (Maths)

I am predicted A* A* A in maths FM and physics.

Will take TMUA.

GCSEs: 9997755433

999 in maths FM phys, 33 in chem and creative media

Will these GCSEs hold me back from applying to places like imperial / UCL / KCL?
Provided you meet any English language GCSE requirements I suspect it's fine.

It shouldn't hurt your chances much I don't think. I don't even know if those unis really consider GCSEs for maths applicants - if they do, it will likely be one of the last things they look at, if they're unsure about whether to offer you a place.

Yes.
Sorry to be honest but I’ve just been through the application process and it’s brutal. The top mainly look at test scores (TMUA in your case) and GCSEs. This is because it’s what you HAVE achieved. Not what you are PREDICTED. What you have already got says a lot about you. University’s know schools often over inflate predicted. TMUA also gives them a huge insight.

By all means go for it. But be realistic. You could smash the TMUA but you’d always be graded below candidates who achieved higher GCSEs.

Go for it but have some safe options on your list of applications.

I agree with having safety options, but I really struggle to believe that these unis are going to prioritise irrelevant GCSE grades over relevant predicteds. Maths, further maths, and stats GCSEs, sure, but something like a 3 in creative media seems inconsequential. TMUA and predicted grades + personal statement typically gives plenty of information to work with besides.

Why not also apply to Warwick?
