Application query

I got 9 9's and 1 8* predicted on my December mocks. I feel pretty miffed about getting the 8 as I got an 8 on my mock exam and due to teaching allegations in my school every student was decreased by a grade in biology and only biology for some reason as a result my predicted fell from 9 to an 8.

I was hoping to ask about how big of an impact this will have on my applications to top schools like LAE, NCS or KCLMS (for which I have my interview at all).

Is it as big of a disaster as I imagine or am I beating myself up for nothing?

My other predicted are all 9s in:
Maths
Physics
English Lang and Lit
Chemistry
Further Maths
Russian
Spanish
History

Don’t live in London but a 9/8 is scene as the same thing for unis (both A*). Surely a school wouldn’t penalise you for not being predicted a 9. Generally, I’ve seen that sixth forms don’t care much about predicted until they see the real thing. I’ve seen people get into competitive sixth forms with just their actual grades (no application because they had low predicted grades).
