Kings or Warwick PPE

I applied to PPE for 2026 entry and I've got an offer to study at both Warwick and Kings. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience from either of the unis and which one they would recommend. For context, I'm a home student and don't live in London or Coventry, so I would be moving out. I'm planning on putting one of them as my firm.
Here are my main priorities (not really in any specific order):
-Career and graduate prospects
-Course content
-Accommodation
-Internship/placement opportunities
-Student life

Would really appreciate any advice anyone has to offer! Thanks!

If you’re looking mainly at PPE as a course, a lot of students tend to lean towards Warwick. Warwick PPE is quite academic, with a clear structure across politics, philosophy and economics, especially strong on the politics and economics side.

For careers and internships, Warwick PPE is generally well regarded. Even though it’s not in London, many students still secure London based opportunities, and outcomes depend a lot on how proactive you are.

In terms of accommodation and student life, Warwick is very campus based. Housing is more straightforward, especially in first year, and everything is in one place. It’s quieter than London, but there’s still plenty going on.

Overall, if your priority is course strength and long term prospects, Warwick is often seen as a very safe and solid choice for PPE.

Hi!

I’m currently in my final year studying EPP (Economics, Psychology and Philosophy) so I’ve shared quite a few modules with PPE students. I’ve really enjoyed my course so far and found the content both broad and interesting across the different subjects.

In terms of graduate prospects, Warwick offers a wide range of career services from the university with things like interview tips, mock assessment centres, CV reviews etc. There’s also a few career fairs on campus throughout the year to meet employers. Although it tends to be easier to travel to interviews or events in London if you actually live there, I haven’t found not being in London to really be a significant issue career-wise.

From the economics and philosophy content I’ve shared with PPE students, I found it to be interesting and flexible. The first year is mostly to set a foundation so you learn each of the subjects from scratch.

For accommodation, as mentioned previously, Warwick is very campus based and is not situated directly in a city, despite being close to Coventry. I would say this is quite an important factor in making your decision - whether you’d prefer to live in a large city or more of a close-knit campus. Both have their advantages and disadvantages of course, so it depends on what you’re looking for! I’d definitely say the campus style of Warwick is a big part of its student life; with everyone living fairly close in first year as well as many society events taking place on campus, there’s lots of opportunities to easily find friends. Alternatively, you might feel more drawn to living in a busy city with more people and more to do around you.

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
Best wishes,
Jasmine (Student Ambassador)

Congrats on your offers!

In terms of Uni of Warwick, I agree with the other insights you've gotten on this thread already, so I'll try and give other perspectives.
If you're set on a London-based career (which is common for many PPE grads), you're likely to end up in London after uni anyway, whether it's a career in the public sector, politics, consulting, etc. Going to Warwick gives you a different life experience; the campus culture, community, independence, being in a smaller uni town. As someone who grew up in big cities and moved to Warwick, I've loved the close community feeling!
Another thing to keep in mind is the very large difference in costs in comparison to London. Warwick/Coventry is generally much cheaper in terms of rent, transportation, groceries, etc. This can give you a lot more flexibility with your social life, extracurriculars, etc.
Warwick also has a very strong society culture, which can look really good to employers. Some of those include Warwick Consulting Society, Economics Society, Think Tank, Debating Society, Politics Society, and a lot more.

Good luck on your decision and I hope this helps!
