ive heard st johns is hard to get into for ppl, what made you consider it over other colleges? personally the location seemed really good and they seemed to give generous support, plus they have three cats ! cant wait for offer holders day if they do one this year, no one else from my college applied there so itd be nice to meet people who are (hopefully) going to be there in october

edinburgh st andrews durham and warwick. I was considering imperial as well, but having to do an extra entrance exam put me off @_@. i assume you'll firm oxford, which uni are you planning to insure? nevertheless good luck in your other interviews

I don't blame you about the other entrance exam! Would have totally put me off too, yes I'll definitely firm Oxford!! As for an insurance, tbh whoever will take me & has a lower offer, as all the other unis seem really lovely and friendly - I haven't had any other medicine offers yet tho so that could even potentially be Exeter natural sciences if not!! Hbu?

right now I can't decide between between durham and st andrews because thats where a lot of my friends are going, though I think I'll try to decide by the end of january just so i can ignore the whole admissions process afterwards and focus on my studies. also have to get my mind off of going to oxford - can't wait for offer holders day! which a levels do you do? i do fm physics and chem so i was considering natural sciences for some time at cambridge, or physics or chem at oxford, but ultimately it was maths

Yeah it's going to feel amazing just finally pressing submit! 😂 I think I'll be waiting until at least mid march to tho as offers from imperial and Bristol are meant to be super late. I take further maths, chem and biology, - natural sciences looked really nice at Exeter cuz there's a tonne of maths in which I lovee, I was considering maths as my 5th choice for a while actually but I like a good mix of science 😅 offer holder day is gonna be so fun! Have you been to St John's before?

I'm definitely going to miss the chemistry practicals and organic synthesis, but I don't think I'll ever miss having to remember every single reagent, which makes me feel much better. Have you signed up for the chem olympiad tomorrow? Also I've only been able to see the front quadrangle in person I think, my college had a trip to Oxford but it was with a specific college there and we only had about an hour to go around the city. at the time i didnt know which college i wanted to go to ☹️ but on offer holders day i definitely want to check out the gardens. and you?

You don't even need to wait for offer holder's day if you can visit Oxford before then (provided you don't visit during a university closure period). St John's is free for visitors to walk around most days (with some areas off-limits) from 1 pm - 5 pm (or dusk at winter).

Omw yes the day my reaction condition flash cards are no longer needed will be a great one! Unfortunately I haven't signed up for the chem Olympiad as I have another interview tomorrow 😂 good luck for it if you're doing it!! Ah that's a shame it'll be cute to see it properly on the offer holder day then! I've actually seen St John's quite a few times as it was my secondary school's linked college, i actually did a summer school and stayed in the accommodation there too with the Inspire programme which was amazing! It's such a gorgeous college and the gardens are beautifulll you're going to love it when you see it properly ☺️

i had a chance to go to their psychology study days, chatted to current students and tutors (one who ended up interviewing me) and absolutely loved the vibes!
