Choosing a Uni for SLT...!

Hey!
I'm currently studying A-levels and have applied for Speech and Language therapy at uni, planning to start in September, but I'm really struggling to make up my choice about where I want to go!! I've applied to Manchester, Birmingham City, Plymouth Marjons, City St George's and Roehampton - and have offers from all except Roe (have an interview there at the end of March). Anyone have any insights into these unis (wether for SLT or just in general?). Would love to hear any insights and experiences to help me decide!
Thanks

When it comes to deciding on a uni, I recommend researching student life there. Is it a busier or quieter city? Would you like that? How close is the uni/accommodation to other services such as hospitals and gp surgeries, nightlife, ect? It's a very personal choice, and so it depends on what you yourself would prefer.

Thanks for this advice...I've been to lots of open days and really agree that the feel of the uni is really important!

In terms of the course, it doesn't matter where you study SLT as they are kept to the same standard by the HCPC. I recommend that you request a copy of this year's timetable from each uni for all three years to see when placements are held. Some unis schedule placements in the standard uni holidays - others don't. Also consider placement locations and travel times to them.

In addition to the suggestions by jamineva3128, research accommodation costs. Accommodation in London will be a lot more expensive than your other options.
