medway school of pharmacy

ive applied for medway, just did my interview last week and i'm waiting for their response. but i'm still a bit confused about the semantics of this university - are all pharmacy lectures/classes on the medway campus, or would i need to traverse to either kent or greenwich for some? i'm thinking of getting my accommodation on the medway campus, but obviously, i don't want to spend more money also travelling to the others (unless there is a specialised shuttle/bus that is free?)

Everything is based on the Medway campus, we may have classes with the medicine students we was told at the start of the year but the uni will always arrange the transport for us and that would be the only time you travel outside of that campus to attend a class, but I think that’s in later years anyways.

I’m a current first year student for pharmacy, if you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

Hi,
I hope you are well!😊

How did your interview go? Wishing you all the best for your application!😊

I have been in touch with The Medway School of Pharmacy for you which I hope will clear up the confusion.

The Pharmacy (MPharm) course and Pharmacy with Preparatory Year (MPharm) course are both based at the Medway Campus. This means that all teaching and lectures will take place on Medway Campus. The only exception to this is when students start their placements, which will be off campus.

The degree is joint between the University of Kent and the University of Greenwich, which means that students can make use of both universities library resources. This means that you could take the free shuttle bus from Medway Campus to the University of Kent's Canterbury campus to use their library, or you could take the shuttle bus from Medway Campus to one of Greenwich's libraries. Or you could just stay at Medway campus and use the lovely Drill Hall library. I hope this makes sense as I know it does sound a bit confusing🤭

The main take-away is that you have access to the universities libraries on their other campuses, but your teaching will all take place on Medway campus.

I hope this helps! Do let me know if you have any other questions😊

Thank you for your reply, and it's lovely to see that you are happy to answer any of the students questions!

@m.ayr3s take advantage of this! It's great to chat to current students and get their perspectives on the course and student life😊
