Yes, I haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know if all candidates get an interview? It looks like a lot of courses only do interviews if students are being put forward for funding.

From my experience with Cambridge, funding isn't confirmed until late spring/early summer. I was invited to interview for my MPhil in February before funding was released

Also in the same boat and yet to hear anything. I’m still on ‘submitted’ on the portal. Looking at Gradcafe, it seems people last year started to hear stuff back between this week and mid-Feb?

Ah, I didn’t apply until January, which might be why ours differ! It looks like there were people getting interviews and acceptances all the way into March - though how reliable GC is, I don’t know! Good luck all the same!

I'm the same with being stuck on 'submitted'. Feel sick with nerves lol. Hopefully we are put out of our misery soon

I applied quite early on in October, but my understanding is that they don't do rolling applications. All of them are reviewed after the deadline... this is what they do at Oxford anyway and I would presume the processes are similar.

Yikes! I understand. I have been under review by department since December. Maybe you could email to check in the status or to find out when the decisions will be out. What course did you apply to?

I've been stuck on submitted for a while as well. So I am not sure how they review applications after the deadline, as I submitted quite early.

do they directly reject students with less cgpa/gpa but good research experience - also what is the supervisors role here 🙂

I’m not really sure to be honest

Current MPhil here, and also applying for English PhD, but the department is super slow with everything. But from what I gather, if you receive an offer in February that means you’ve been nominated for AHRC funding. And there’s like no AHRC funding anymore; I think the Humanities as a whole has 6 Studentships, so English will have ~2

Do you know if they conduct interviews for everyone? Or just candidates that they are interested in giving offers to?
