Do you know if they conduct interviews for everyone? Or just candidates that they are interested in giving offers to?

Hey everyone don't panic nor overthink! I've also been stuck with 'submitted', but people on Reddit confirmed that the status means nothing. I don't think we should hear anything until at least February.

Thank you! I submitted very early in November and my portal is still only reading as “submitted”.

Okay but I applied near the deadline and am stuck on “submitted”. Anyone seen updates? Did my MPhil in Cambridge.

I mean they do say you don't need to but I did with all my other applications so didn't want to risk it. I am not from an Oxbridge background so am quite naive as to how it all works. So just wanted to be safe than sorry.

stuck in under review by department since nov 17 - no updates yet - neither interview - its Feb approaching now not sure if they take interviews in feb also

For what it’s worth I’ve heard they let you know fairly soon once it’s assessed. It also depends on which academic(s)’ table your proposal and app land on.

My guess as it was for my MPhil at Cam is that they’ll do it in batches even though there’s a rolling acceptance illusion.

A second thing is I’ve only heard of informal offers from supervisors so far; nothing official. If anyone actually has a department offer I’d really like to know!
