Student finance for post graduate
When can we start applying for student finance for September 2026 postgraduate start? I can only find information pertaining to undergraduate studies on the gov website.

We applied in late May 2025 for my daughters Masters loan and from what I remember applications opened sometime in May whereas or undergrads it opens in March. It was confirmed within a few days as it's not means tested

Hi @Latundei. I will be able to help you with this. For a Sep 2026 Postgrad start, the applications do not seem to be open yet, hence why you can only see the undergrad details on the government websites. PG student finance often opens up near towards the end of spring. Also, you do not need an offer that is confirmed to apply, however it is more better to do as soon as it's open so your funding can come quicker. I hope this helped and good luck!

Applications for a post graduate masters will open sometime in May but the exact date hasn't been announced yet whereas as undergrad loans open late March for new students and April for returning students
