Specsavers scholarship
Hey has anyone else who is planning on doing optometry in uni applied to the Spec savers Bright stars scholarship ? And if anyone is apart of it could I know the process and acceptance rate? Thank you

Just generic questions that they ask you in interviews they give u the questions before and u have 3 mins to prep for it I think or 2. There were 5 Questions, first was about what made you interested to study optometry or something along those lines. Some of the Qs were asking about what’s your superpower, what can you bring to the team, some skills you developed/ have. Those are just what I remember!

Thanks and congrats to you as well! i did mine today and the questions felt alright but i felt like i sort of rushed it 😭😭

Tysm! Yeah same I feel as though I rushed it too because I’m literally so tired of so many interviews from unis etc 😭but hopefully it goes well

Yess I applied back in September , I just assumed that I did not get a place until last week when I got the interview . The interview felt like i did not have much time to prepare bc they kept sending me emails , but it is what it is . Also they have around 40 spots on the scholarship I believe , I think most people who apply to optometry also apply to the scholarship , so it is most likely oversubscribed

Yes same I feel the same way about the interviews ! But yeah it probably will be pretty oversubscribed

Hey, I've done the interview and now they've sent me a form and i have to answer what uni ive applied to for optometry... so do i only put my firm choice or put all of the unis i have got offers from?/
