Alternative funding for postgraduate to cover tuition fees after interruption

Is there any funding options outside Student finance england, as I interrupted my studies in 2025, with two loans already from SFE, and i am deferred to go back in september 2026, I am a home student (british) with university of plymouth and looking for options for funding to stay on my interrupted masters, SFE said I may have to withdraw from my course and apply again with compelling personal reasons due to me interrupting my masters because of a mental health crisis, id ideally like to not have to withdraw and reapply. Any suggestions or signposting wouls be great.

Outside SFE, your main options are university hardship funds, internal postgraduate bursaries/scholarships, charitable trusts (via your uni’s funding team), employer sponsorship, or private tuition-fee loans. Also speak to Plymouth student services, they can sometimes support interrupted students without requiring withdrawal.
