Best area to stay in London

Looking for neighborhoods in London for my next year stay. Any suggestions?

It mainly depends on how close you want to be to your university. Just be careful of the most dangerous areas in London.

Bloomsbury is quite nice. I've walked around there coming from Holborn and the Strand very late at night/early morning many times and never felt threatened. I think its the main accommodation area for UCL but there are a bunch of intercollegiate halls which have people from any London university. Depending on where you are its not far walking to Kings Cross Station or Euston Station. Most of the halls around there are very expensive though because its so central.
