Oxford sports facilities and work load

Does anyone know how good the sports facilities are mainly the rugby ones at Oxford? And what’s the average amount of work you do a day for physics?

What to expect | University of Oxford Department of Physics

A typical week for an undergraduate student in the Department of Physics consists of:

8-10 hours in lectures

6 hours in labs, plus writing-up time

2 hours of tutorials

20 hours of independent study (in preparation for tutorials)

For an Oxford undergraduate degree you should expect the amount of work you do to be equivalent to a full time job, ie around 37/38 hours a week. Of course you may have a lot more flexibility over when you do that work than if you were in a full time job and it won’t necessarily be evenly spread every day. But you need to be dedicating that time to your studies in order to perform well.

But many Oxford students take sport (or other hobbies) very seriously and spend plenty of time on them. It’s just about good self discipline and time management.
