If you want the possibility to study medicine, then chemistry is not optional. Most, if not all medical schools in the UK expect you to take A Level chemistry, and even if a medicine course does state either biology or chemistry, you will be at a massive disadvantage if you don't take chemistry and apply for medicine. I would also strongly recommend maths as well if you want to study engineering instead of medicine. Perhaps explore the possibility of studying four a levels. I do bio, chem, maths, and further maths, but if you are considering engineering, maybe bio, chem, maths and physics is a good combo?
