long shot but has anyone on here got an offer from christ’s college cambridge to study english? my offer is conditional on getting an a* in eng lit which is freaking me out and i’m wondering if anyone’s in the same boat

If you look at Christs website, it sounds like they would normally ask for an A* in the "most relevant subject". Christ's are one of the most academic colleges, with high proportion of students getting firsts, so think they deliberately give higher offers to everyone.
