SOAS apparently cutting lots of classes for next year

I'm currently studying an MSc in politics at SOAS and a professor said this week that SOAS is cutting lots of modules and courses for next year, so for any prospective students there might be a lot fewer options for you

Hi there,

This information is going to be sent out by the relevant department once the details are finalised to students applying to SOAS. I can assure any prospective students reading this post that no courses will be cut. What is actually happening is due to the extensive number of modules on offer; these are being reimagined in a more interdisciplinary approach within degree programmes to streamline your overall education more holistically. This small change will ensure that modules that have only one or two students in them will converge with other similar modules. For a small institution, there is an extensive list of open options available, and we take pride in what we offer and will continue to offer in the future.

Hope your studies are going well! 😊
