Cambridge Churchill offer for Natsci
Hi, I’ve just recieved my offer for Bio NatSci at Churchill college, Cambridge and I think my offer is pretty high:
Bio- A*
Chem- A*
Further Maths- A*
Maths- A
Just wondering if this is the norm for Natural sciences? I was expecting an offer of A*A*A Or maybe A*A*A* but not an offer based on 4 alevels, and a higher grade in Further maths than Maths?

If you look on Churchills website (the page on undergraduate applications) they state that they give out more offers than most colleges- but that those offers are higher. They say this is to ensure that places go to applicants who can handle the academic requirements of the college.
So this sounds like maybe normal behaviour for Churchill - being expected to get higher in further maths than maths does sound a bit odd though?

the further maths thing is standard for churchill - its stated on their website.
i have the same offer for physical A*A*A*A with A in maths and A* for further maths, physics, chemistry

My child’s offer condition is A*A*A* for Chem, Phys, Further Math but no mentioning of Math

My offer is also at 3 A stars. I was a bit surprised to see that but I think it is common with Churchill
