Work experience year 12

I am currently a student in year 12 studying biology chemistry and Maths and doing an EPQ and I have my work experience coming up. I want to study medicine at university so I want a work experience related to medicine but I don't know where to do this work experience as I will be 17 years old I don't know where to find work experience. Could I get work experience perhaps in a lab where I can shadow researches? Could you recommend me how to perhaps get a lab work experience in Universities or an work experience related to medicine?

Contact hospitals, gp surgeries and labs to see if anywhere will accept you for work experience. Also look if theres any organised programs in your area that you can join. Lots of people apply for med so I seriously doubt youll be the only one in this position, just try your best to find something relevant.
