life as a doctor
all i’ve wanted for YEARS is too become a doctor but i also really want to be able to get married and have kids. i’m terrified that i’ll go into medicine and not be able to have a family or not be able to be present for that family. i am desperate to become a doctor but im scared ill make a choice that ill regret. anyone have any experience???

Im not a doctor but both of my parents are, they have both managed to be present for both mine and my sisters lives, they did have us a little later than most people so that they could develop their careers beforehand but I think it has been amazing. If you really want to be a doctor and get married and have kids it is definitely possible and can work really well so I wouldn't worry too much. I hope that helps.

it is not a permanent choice, you can always change your mind. doing a medical degree doesn't mean you have to become a doctor if you decide it's not for you
