Transferring into 2nd Year cs from 3rd (placement year)

Hi,

I am currently on my placement year (3rd year) at the Uni of Sheffield for CS. And I wanted to transfer to Uni of Leeds for CS (I meet their entry requirements), they only do transfers into 2nd year due to course's differing too much and I emailed the admissions team for cs and they haven't gotten back to me in like a month. Do I need to fill in an UCAS application (and then put my entry point as second year) all over again because I am just wondering if it's too late to even apply then since it is basically February. The reason I want to transfer is the modules here aren't good and they don't even qualify me for most masters whereas Leeds actually does eg we are missing OS / Arch modules and there's no interesting modules like compilers / hpc in 3rd year either which I really want to do. At the time of applying really, I didn't understand much of cs to know what I wanted and I kind of just thought each uni even though they slightly differ have the same fundamentals. But the main question is do I need to fill in an UCAS application or is too late or do I chase up on the admissions team and if they get back to me will they give me some documents to sign where I can just transfer without reapplying?

Thanks
You'll have to submit a UCAS application, even if they get back to you and say you are welcome to apply.

Do you think I should put in a UCAS application in now instead of waiting for their reply?

Have you tried calling them? It might be a quick yes/no. Emails are rarely a priority,
